Mike G got a reaction from woodlander in Wonky Amsterdam houses
These houses are nicknamed the dancing houses, the tilting is apparently caused by rotten wooden piles!

Mike G reacted to parigby in Streetphotography (open thread)
Hi Maurice,
If l give you a little background to the image, it might assist you. The image is very much a grab shot, as at the time l was on public transport (moving ), and therefore l was constricted with what l could achieve. Having seen the developing image l felt it warranted being captured, but there was a problem, and a big one at that. It's shot through smudged and filthy glass. Believe me, what you see now is a distinct improvement on what came out of the camera. However as l liked the image, and the potential story about to unfold, l thought it worth persevering with - after all not ever image has to be perfect to have some merit (well at least to my eyes anyway).
I will politely refuse your offer of a swap for your Canon
regards ... philip

Mike G reacted to Fursan in Fuji XF 35 1.4 AF speed
Maybe a little compared to the 18-55 on my XP-2.
But sufficiently fast and exquisite rendering; so much so that I have traveled with just this to many places across the world.
Examples...
of course, a bit of color does not go astray...

Mike G reacted to cug in Fuji XF 35 1.4 AF speed
Weird, I don't have that issue. Also, "hunting" is a problem of the body not acquiring what it considers critical focus, not the lens really. The lens just acts to what the body tells it to do.

Mike G reacted to Pierre in Baseplate / L Plate for X-H1?
Hi Mike,
yes this is a Fuji model. It is compatible with X-T1 / X-T2 / X-H1 and GFX. I tried it with X-T1 and X-T2 but there are 2 problems :
1/ screen can't move easily, The eyecup is on the way of the screen
2/ It's not easy to use a Lensmate thumbrest with this eyecup
It works great ont the X-H1 because the EVF is not as close to the screen as on X-T1/T2. I think this eyecup is the better choice for X-H1, It is softer than the orginal eyecup and it is very adapted for use with glasses.
