Do you mean the 23mm/f1.4? Have you moved the focus ring on the lens forwards for autofocus mode?

Mike G reacted to stephmcg in X-T10 user moving to X-H1 or wait for X-T3?
Hello! I’m an X-T10 user looking to upgrade to either Jen X-H1, X-T2 or the rumoured X-T3.
I’m mainly a nature and landscape/travel photographer with a little video as well
I have then XF 18-55, the XF 35mm F2 and the XF 55-200mm I was wondering whether you think it’s worth going straight to the X-H1 and bypassing the X-T series?
Thanks in advance guys

I really think that you don’t need any other camera than the ones you already have, in fact, I believe that you have already too many cameras.
Use the ones that you have and be happy, go and sin no more.If there is any way for you to be happy with what you have, please be. I have a friend whom is forever buying cameras and audio equipment, but he also buys clocks. They are fetishes of some sort for him.You can only use one at the time and as you get older your ears are absolutely not capable to enjoy the finesses of yet another stereo system.
I see pictures shot with expensive cameras and lenses which could have been taken with cheaper ones to no detriment of the outcome. In fact I see very poorly processed pictures shot by people whom ruin them (and possibly don’t ever realize they do).
It is not that I am jealous of his or yours capability to spend but is there anything that you will want to do and can’t because you don’t have the extra camera?
When I was younger I was buying clothes, for example, just for fun and because I wanted something new. These days I often question myself reasons to buy yet another jacket every time I see one that I fancy.
If you really don’t have any use for your money set up a scholarship which would award a camera to a deserving poor student whom cannot afford one.
Good Luck.

Mike G got a reaction from dfaye in X-T2 Card Slot Selection
I’m pretty sure that if you press the playback button for a few seconds a dialogue should pop up allowing you to change slots!
Correction
Press and hold the delete button simultaneously click the rear command dial and a dialogue box will open up offering you an option to change the card slots!

Mike G reacted to viewfromspace in Vacation in Ireland. Small Bag Big Dilemma
I just returned from Ireland and faced the same challenge. I have a Domke bag exactly like yours, but I found it too small from a X-T2 body and a few lenses. I highly recommend the Billingham Hadley Pro as a good next size up. I picked up a black and tan Hadley and it was perfect for my X-T2 and a few lenses, even my GoPro Fusion 360 camera and the short 360 stick, smaller iPad Pro and pencil for Lightroom work also fits in the notebook sleeve in back of the bag.. Hadley is a bit more pricey but I've had this one for years and it is now my main travel camera bag. I don't regret the investment. Like Domke, the Hadley bags look better as they age.
You will love Ireland, photographically and all the rest. I look forward to returning soon with the same kit.
Cheers,
R

Mike G reacted to milandro in the new look
well, besides the interface that is the typical cheap looking interface, now I am facing a page mostly white with lots of very annoying simbols and icons.
The only similarity with the old look is the black header.
Also, the signatures have disappeared but that is more of a detail. I really find this look cheap and not stylish while the previous was much more special. The only thing that has bee kept is the black band header above, all the rest, including more stylish lettertypes, is gone and looks terribly different and not pleasant, this is from where I sit. One of the things which attracted me of this forum was the graphic form, the new one is, sorry to say, cheap and uninteresting.

another thing.
On the old version there was a way to see the latest threads and I always looked at that, now this seems to have disappeared (or I haven’t found it yet) and it is quite annoying to have lost this feature which I favor everywhere I participate.
