  1. Yes, tried various combinations and sequences. Checking and unchecking the linear display check box has the appropriate result, not so the digital one. Ticking the "large Print" digital box results in that box becoming unchecked next time I look at the setting for it ( the activation box for digital remains ticked). I have two bodies, both act the same way.
  2. Can't get the digital exposure compensation display to work in any view mode, only the analog scale display works.
  3. My first thought was an internal reflection off something, but the relative sharpness of the "reflection" makes me think the EVF is involved?
  4. A more extreme EV range show the very bright screen and stage lights floating in space towards upper left.
  5. Shooting a festival this weekend ran into an issue with the XP2. Many files that had (very) high lighting range showed a mirror image if the bright subject, flipped around an imaginary x-y center axis. This happens on both bodies, and with all 3 lenses used (23/1.4, 35/1.4, 56/1.2). The first image, at twilight, had a moderate ev range, yet the giant screen tv image shows as a reflection towards upper-right.
  6. I love my XP2's, but there are some possible improvements. I would like to be able to toggle between two sets of "overall" camera settings with a function button. I find it to easy to accidentally nudge the exposure comp dial (but a lock would not be desirable!), as well as the diopter adjustment dial. Wearing my glasses I can not see the entire viewfinder area, and in bright light the eyecup provides inadequate shielding. Audio tagging shots would be nice. The current neck-strap attachment clips make me nervous. The XP2 plus a 100-400 is a pretty heavy and expensive package depending on a little piece of wire to keep them from crashing to the concrete! I do not see the need to increase the pixel count, and would actually prefer something around 16Mp. I find f/8 to limiting, especially when already using slow lenses. And yes, I have no need for video capability in this camera.
  7. Nothing odd about it. Droves of skilled photographers crank out stunning images in those categories using nothing but smart phones. My reluctance to upgrade to the X100F has to do with a lack of sensor development progress, not the IQ of the camera, or that of the X100T, F or XP/T2. I don't feel the need for the latest and greatest gizmo, the T does the job and the F won't add anything to my bank account.
  8. APS-C sensors have reached their limit (for quality still applications). In fact for some types of work, like architectural or landscape, APS-C is already of little use. I have the X-PRO2, but have to fall back to my Canon FF often. That's why I'll wait for the X200.
  9. I went from the X100 to S to T, and now I will wait for the X200 before the next change.
  10. I did my update Thursday, and finished 3 assignments since then. No new problems yet, and it fixed the issue of not writing RAW and JPG to separate cards. For a future update I would like to see more flexibilty in configuring burst modes, for example if bracketing and shooting RAW + Jpg, only write RAW brackets(or Jpg) to the cards. The copyright setting is in the "SAVE DATA SETUP" menu.
  11. The problem with the inability to save RAW/JPG to separate cards was resolved with version 3.00 firmware update. Makes life a bit easier
  12. I discovered a possibly related problem in my XP2 after the update. When set to save RAW to card slot1 and JPG to card slot2 it gives the "card 2 not initialized" error. Both cards work fine in slot 1, and both work fine in "backup" save mode shooting RAW/JPG Fine. Reformatting (in camera) does not help.
