based on your requirements, i think the 10-24 suits your needs.   F1.4 aperture is overrated.  For landscapes, urban architecture, street you need to stop down to get everything in focus anyways.

I hope they find a better place for the tripod socket...it's too close to the battery door to use a standard quick release plate. I'd love to see it properly centered under the lens, though I understand they may not have enough depth there to do it.

The solution to this, I've found is to leave an L-bracket on the camera at all times, but it makes it bigger and heavier.  But it leaves the battery compartment free to open, and of course, in some ways, it's better than a quick release plate...except when you want the camera to be its original size and weight.

I have found one Arca Swiss compatible plate that is small enough that it doesn't block the battery door, but you have to use it sideways.

I much prefer the stills output of Fuji over Panasonic. I much prefer the movie output of Panasonic - hence I run 2 systems. GX8 looks nice but the stills output (judging by samples available on the web) won't persuade me to sell my Fuji gear.

Regarding the comments above re: MFT bodies not being that much smaller than Sony FF.... that is no longer the point. It's all about lens size - there is a massive difference in size/ weight terms between a MFT set of lenses and a FF set (of "equivalent" focal lengths/ max aperture). My shoulders will gladly testify to this (as a previous FF shooter). There's even an appreciable difference between APS-C and MFT when it comes to lens size/ weight.

Neil got a reaction from Jan Safranek in XF56 vs XF90 - Your thoughts apprecaited
90 = 135 as, for example, a candid shot lens without OIS?   Now you need to shoot at 1/125 or more.

I understand, like Zeiss, that Fuji may not want to put OIS in lenses because they would be bigger, and perhaps it would affect IQ.  (Zeiss doesn't even want to put autofocus in, though they have in some cases.)

But then ok, put it on the sensor!  If you need greater DOF and have to stop down, you need OIS.  Long lenses, which at least to me includes 135mm, need OIS, at least for those of us without rock steady hands.  In fact, I would be more tempted to buy the 16-55 F2.8 if it had OIS.  As it is, it's a throwback to my 24-70 F/28 Nikkor, which I love on a tripod, but would like much better for handholding with OIS.  The new Tamron competitor to that has IS and beats the Nikon in tests I've seen.

It would be interesting to see the IQ of the 56 or 90 and 16-55 compared to the 24-70 Nikkor as it behaves mounted on the Fuji.

I hope it's a X-T2 with IBIS. Though I just bought an X-T1, so won't I feel silly.  Adapted lenses are great, but not without IBIS.  Primes are great, but not as great without stabilization.  At least to me and a lot of other people.
