Certainly:  I was shooting three christenings/baptisms back to back in a church. Not your typical church, but a very modern one.  Huge skylights over the altar, and large open windows down each side.  There was no shortage of light, believe me.  For some reason the 56 1.2, which I picked up just for this event  either couldn't focus/kept hunting, or it was waaaay too slow.  I was using my X-T1, Auto ISO at around ISO 400 if I remember.  As I said it was a beautiful afternoon and the church was extremely well lit.  The 56 was slowing me down to the point where I swapped it for my 35 1.4, and my 18-55 and shot all afternoon with those two lenses.  It was extremely frustrating having the families standing there while the 56 1.2 decided whether it wanted to achieve focus or not.  So, next morning I returned it for a refund.  Now, I've talked to quite a few people who said it could have been a bad sample but I'm not so sure about that...  I was so disappointed I haven't even considered replacing it with another 56.  I skirt around it whenever possible, hence the decision between the 50F2 and the 60 2.4.

Well, we're probably not interested in video ... just a guess.
Why not ask the forum admins to create a specific Video with X-series subforum? Then you have all video related questions and feature suggestions in a central place. That also increases the chance that Fujifilm will read, and act on, the suggestions.

I've owned the T2 for 4 months and have yet to try the video. If video is a priority then I would recommend you get a Canon DSLR, a Sony, or a Panasonic camera. I will eventually try out the video but it is not at the top of my list. Right now if I need video I use my iPhone, which has been more than adequate.

Why must video be top priority for Fujifilm? I think flash, for instance, is higher on the list? Or better battery life (without resorting to a bulky grip).

    Two comments:
    1. Your personal priority of video over still photo is hardly shared, in my opinion, by the majority of Fuji users.
    2. Comparison of arbitrarily chosen video clips made by people of varying skills under different lighting conditions with differing lenses, shooting different subjects proves nothing. I mean, absolutely nothing.

Sounds like the internal battery has issues.

Some cameras have a button cell to keep your settings in memory but X-Pro2 uses a non replaceable internal battery.

They should just stick to button cells. I had an old Nikon p&s which needed a motherboard replacement just because of a defective internal battery.

It get's charged by your camera battery. Try leaving your battery in your camera longer. Otherwise, sending it back may be your only option.

That's a bit exaggerated don't you think citral. If you're shooting for a while with such a lens you anticipate without thinking. Changing a lens takes way longer.

WR means weather resistant, not waterproof. The sealing is there for accidental exposure only, not for continuous use. You can get lucky for a long time, but sooner or later you will run into problems if you use it like that.

I would've thought that weather sealing meant it can be subjected to a light "splatter", and then swiftly back under your coat. Don't think it's designed for constant rain.

That's a Pentax camera you're after for that level of sealing.

You've been lucky with your XT1 up to now I'd guess.

Can't understand why you did this to a new camera. If you want a used camera, make it because you're traveling and shooting a lot, not because you think it is stylish. For me it is stupid to have a fake used camera.

Before Nikon or Canon releases a camera they go to Ken and they ask him to test them, the best cameras get a Nikon sticker and the less good get a Canon sticker

Despite his self promoting 'pro' advice, reading his reviews and articles smacks of nothing more than an enthusiastic amateur trying desperately to come across as more... but then with alarming regularity he will state an opinion as fact, that flies in the face of reason, or real working practices.

olibe reacted to Therapeuo63 in Printing - Does the extra 8mp make a difference?
It depends on a few things...amount of cropping, size of print, post processing involved, monitor calibration and quality of printer. etc. I think the answer is yes, but does it matter? I've seen spectacular 24x36 inch landscape prints from a 12 MP Nikon D90. At 11x14 for example I see no difference in print quality (resolution detail that is) between my old Nikon D90 and my current D7100 with twice the resolution. I think it also depends on subject matter too and landscape photographers that make big prints are probably more demanding than say, a portrait photographer. Sadly, many photographers rarely make big prints....but demand high megapixel counts for images that will sit on a hard drive and never encounter the ink of a printer.

The megapixel wars ended a long time ago but I'm sure the engineers and brick wall photographers may beg to differ,

I placed a pre-order today for 2 X-T2 bodies with the battery grips.

I'll sell my X-T1 and keep my X-Pro2. I really like the X-Pro2 and in particular the button layout. However, the advantages of the tilting screen, better video, connectivity, far more shots without changing batteries with the grip, tethering, 2 fast card slots and a bigger EVF etc decide it for me. The 2 X-T2 bodies will be my 'work' cameras and the X-Pro2 an enjoyable change of pace.

Well, the sideways-thingie, for when you want to take a picture in portrait orientation close to the ground.
But I'd never want one of those video-type screens that flip out to the side (Canon 70D, Panasonic GH4...), so the pentax solution is, for me, pretty elegant. And it can be used exactly like the screen of the X-T1 (up-down).
