  1. Thanks for the answers, i think the problem is related to lose of sharpness at minimum distance, i dont have the 35f2 anymore but same happends to the 23f2 which is soft until you step back. Maybe is because of this or because the new lens coating, but not the camera. Anyway its not a big deal for most of the shoots. Regards and thank you again.
  2. I've taken the same picture with an old 50mm with lens turbo and the bokeh is smooth without this glow ghost effect, so I guess the sensor is clean and the problem is on the XF35mm f2. For what I've seen it's a normal thing in the lens, but people won't notice unless really close up pictures with high contrast white and black patterns in the bokeh. I really hope Fuji to fix this on the upcoming XF23mm f2, because that's going to be my general propouse lens, and I'll use MDF a lot, specially if it is as short as on the X100 series.
  3. The new copy arrived, does the same thing. I've done a research and found this blue glow effect at close up pictures taken since 2015, so I guess it's normal for this lens. Once you are at 45-50cm distance from the subject... the rendering is normal and very sharp even at f2 so it's ok for me
  4. Thank you Milandro! I've already order a return. Sorry jlmphotos! I can't get closer or magnify the picture to show the effect in a better size. I'll do the same tests with the new 35mm to check if it gets better once it arrives. Also I'll update the post so it can help other users in the future. Regards.
  5. Thanks milandro! What I mean is easily seen in the other picture at this link http://fujistas.com/foro/attachments/captura-de-pantalla-2016-07-25-a-las-19-00-48-png.7124/ I don't know how to post it directly, but that one was shoot at f2, 1/250 and 200 ISO. The ghost - glowing edges are more noticeable here, specially in the two little stones with a few separattion between them at the center-top of the picture. I've seen this effect in very old lens, but never in a new one :S XF35mm f2 users in my country fuji forum don't think it's normal, but wanted to know more opinions.
  6. Hello! I just bought this lens, it is new but I think there's something wrong with it When I shoot close to the subject at MDF wide open f2... this lens does a halo glow duplicating the edges of white things on the closest "bokeh area" to the focused area. No filters or dirty lens. Anyone with similar experience in this lens or should I return it? Here some examples of this effect. Sorry for my english, and thank you in advance. There is one example on this link => http://fujistas.com/foro/attachments/captura-de-pantalla-2016-07-25-a-las-19-00-48-png.7124/ And this full resolution in flickr
  7. If they keep the aperture ring and the scale distance mechanism from the XF23mm and add WR and closer MDF ... I think almost every Fuji user will end with one in his / her bag. Sadly it isn't a realistic wish =(
