  1. I don't recall them disclosing the different fiends in their lenses. When I stumble upon one from time to time it always comes as a surprise.
  2. In six months time you will have a much better idea of whether you're happy as an (almost) all-prime shooter. When you can't fall back on the easy solution of using the 18-35 you'll be forced to find out what you and the primes can achieve. No one will die as a result of your zoom-privation, and I expect you'll learn a lot. Have fun!
  3. Everyone has their own priorities, of course, and often one may need to consider how a particular lens fits into a set of lenses for a given purpose. There is much in the small size, low weight, and OIS of the 18-55mm that I find appealing, but the angle of view of a 16mm lens is my 'bottom line': I'm unwilling to do without it. If I used the 18-55mm lens, I would have to lug around a second lens to cover 16mm, which sort of kills the size and weight advantage of the 18-55mm.
  4. Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC both handle Fuji raw and compressed raw files with ease. Some people are dissatisfied with Adobe's conversion of raw files to PSD/TIFF/JPG, especially because of smearing highly detailed areas with repeating pattern such as leaves and grass; others don't consider it a real-world problem because it shows up mostly on extreme enlargements or when "pixel-peeping" on screen. Both sides have support among very accomplished photographers, and the on-line debates use up a great deal of time which might have been spent making photographs. After a year of use, my X-Pro2 continues to give me enormous pleasure, and I am rarely dissatisfied with Lightroom.
