Travel storage box for Fuji NP-W126 battery ??
EddieX replied to bambam's topic in General Discussion
Hmmmm.... might have to get one of these. Although TT battery holder has worked ok, I dislike the size of it since our batteries are smaller then the typical DSLR's. I'll get one next weekend. -
But price will. If Fuji is cheaper then the blad, this will bring in more sales. Will hopefully see later on what Fuji brings to the table.

Man, I already ditched my X-T1 into the fire.

I don't see the negativity of touchscreen (although I've never used one on a camera) but I could see the merits of it when reviewing images or during video recording. And I don't see it being that much of a impact on price either. But Fuji could implement multiple methods for doing the same functions. For example, my Mazda6 can change radio stations/functions via touch screen, control knob on the center console or via the steering wheel. Works out great for those that might have gloves, or the passenger can change stations/functions and don't have to get the screen dirty with greasy fingers. In the same way one could use the touchscreen to review images, or the joy-stick or the control dial. But like many have chimed in, it should have a off feature for those who absolutely loath touchscreens or feels like it gets in their way.

Well what do you like shooting? Are you looking for another zoom or a prime?
-
I say you should go for the 16mm 1.4 as well.

Fujifilm working on a XF 50mmF2 lens – Trusted Sources
EddieX replied to Patrick FR's topic in Fuji X Rumors & News
Depending on the size and features I might go for this lens. -
Ken Rockwell is unimpressed
EddieX replied to Dis's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
Ken is an idiot and I won't click on his website so that he gets no ad revenue from me. I have said this before moving from Canon to Fuji. -
FUJIFILM will develop an XF 8-16mmF2.8 WR lens
EddieX replied to Patrick FR's topic in Fuji X Rumors & News
So Fuji needs to make a 140-300 f2.8 similar to Sigma -
$1800? lol

Fuji X video...is it really as bad as everyone says?
EddieX replied to Prabbit's topic in General Discussion
Hey that came out great! And it answered my wonder about how well the 18-55 lens does in video. I'm looking forward to what the X-T2 will bring to the table. -
Yes, I am teaching her. And I do have to get a small camera for her. She does like mine, but it's just to heavy for her at this time.
-
The camera wasn't facing upwards, it was on my neck strap and it just so happened to be at eye level to my daughter when I was switching lenses. But I did learn a lesson that day. I need to buy a second body just in case something happens to the first one
-
Yeah, guess so. Well it was just a thought.

Ok, so something happened when I visited Japan. When I was changing lenses my wonderful 5-year old daughter, in a split-second, decided to touch the sensor of my X-T1 due to the rainbow effect the sensor gives off (it looked pretty according to her). Fortunately I was in Fukuoka where Fuji has a service center and cleaned my sensor in about 1 hour. Plus I got to look at all the latest toys. Didn't know the X-Pro2 was so much larger then what I imagine and it had a nice weight to it. Anyways getting off subject, my question is: Why doesn't Fuji (or any mirrorless brand) have the shutter blades cover the sensor when changing lenses to reduce the chances of foreign objects (like little fingers) or dust from entering the sensor?

I'm still ok with this!

The 56mm, but before you throw it from your roof, please let me know your address.
-
Just wondering are you from the US?

I've been wondering as well. There's really only one way to find out. With out spending too much money you can rent what ever missing components you need.

How you can tell that Fuji are Serious about their Len's
EddieX replied to gordonrussell76's topic in Fuji X Lenses
I seriously doubt that. XF 18-55mm - 10 elements in 7 groups, including 2 aspheric and 3 ED (extra low dispersion) element XC 16-55mm - 12 elements in 10 groups including 3 aspherical elements and 1 ED element XF 50-200mm - 14 elements in 10 groups including 2 ED elements and 1 Super ED element XC 50-230mm - 13 elements in 10 groups including 1 aspherical lens and 1 ED element Now they might use some groups in the same lenses, but no all the same glass or they would be the same amount and type of elements. -
I hope not. I'm leaving for a road trip and would love to have it before October.

New Lens Hood LH-XF23 for XF23mmF1.4
EddieX replied to Patrick FR's topic in Other Fuji X Accessories
I had an aftermarket lens hood for my 16mm. But it was always a bit to big for my liking and while in Japan I bought my the LH-XF16 hood (as a souvenir too). It's more compact, discreet and well looks neater. If I do end up buying the 23mm (really wish it was a WR lens) I'll probably end up buying this lens hood. Oh and I still have aftermarket lens hoods for my 35mm 1.4 & 90mm f2. I'll be buying another aftermarket vented hood for my recently acquired 18-55 f2.8-4.
