  1. I used to hold this batch of software in very high regard. But as time has gone on and no they didn't do much of an upgrade at all to it in what 3 years? Other options that have come out are just so much better and easier and knowing that Google owned it in the first place made me wonder if they knew when I was pooping between making edits to my photos because...It's Google, they do that! MacPhun, Pixelmator, and Afinity have taken over and between those three programs you pretty much can do anything for less than $100 total on either a mac or iPad and not have to pay for a monthy fee like what you have to do for Adope Cash Cl(ow)ud. Czech
  2. So after I banged my head against the wall acouple dozen times... I went back into the "New features Guide" PDF file because I remembered what it had said and I'm going...Where did I read about the ES? Well sure enough on page EN-4 under the heading "Shutter Type Selection". You get this paragraph: "Distortion may be visible in shots of moving subjects, while banding and fog may occur in shots taken under fluorescent lights or other flickering or erratic illumination. When taking pictures with the shutter muted, respect your subjects’ image rights and right to privacy." Does anyone have any ibuprofen I can borrow for my headache???? Sheesh... Czech
  3. Here's a follow up question? Does it become amplified if OIS is turned on also at higher speeds? Czech
  4. I'm going to probably say yes...Hmmmm. Czech
  5. So for starters I just finally made the move from Nikon over to a complete Fuji setup. Hold your applause please. So I have pretty much all the main lenses that Fuji makes (16, 23, 27, 35, 56, 90, 50-140 and now the new 100-400). I own an X-T1 and X100T and have been starting to as I call it "Dial it in" using the X-T1 more often. I have taken plenty of photos with both cameras before and things have been coming out pretty well... Not this last week though... As you can see I have barely moved the camera or the lens and it looks like I am getting some horrible rolling shutter issues or something else. I have tweaked some of the settings to try and compensate for this but it's happening all the time now. I thought it was the 100-400 doing this but I'm finding out it's on other lenses also...I will have to show in another post as I don't have enough space to upload here. BTW the order of photos isn't how you see them. The first photo should be the 3rd in the sequence. I haven't drastically changed any of the settings in the camera but this has started to become a complete across the board issue? Where should I start to find out what is going on? Czech
  6. If fuji can bring this lens out at less or around $1500 US and it has stellar performance then the stakes will again be upped to a higher level for the big boys to take note that they are going to lose more customers than what they already have been losing overall. Not only does the price of this lens need to be relatively inexpensive in the world of photography but it needs to totally stomp on what other lenses from other companies can offer. If it does both...need I say more... Probably not! Czech
  7. Forget that...Where's my 400mm f/2.8 R OIS WR We now know the 2x Teleconverter is coming this summer. And hopefully the rumors are all true about the 200mm f/2 lens. I'm already drooling wanting that to be released. If the X-T2 is what it's sounding like could be (with 10-14fps and focusing close to the flagship DSLR's of the two big boys) my wallet will be very light for about a month or so! Czech
  8. This leads me to believe that the 200mm f/2 and the 33mm f/1.0 lenses are going to be released first (if they are real) and then the 120mm lens will come at a time when all the hype will have simmered down from those lenses to pick it right back up again for the holiday season! I already have budgeted money for all 3 if they are released! Czech
  9. I would hope that they will design a new grip to go with the X-T2 and will in someway have it's own joystick on it like grips of other camera companies do for their cameras. The question I would also wonder about an external grip is if instead of it holding 1 extra battery it would have a tray inside it and it could hold 2 batteries and allow it to increase the fps to something like 12-14. That would really make a lot of folks (including myself) dump my X-T1 and get a pair of X-T2's. I am waiting for this camera (and the rumored 200mm f/2) because if it starts to rival in performance anything close to a D5 or IDX in both frame rate and focusing speed with acouple other features thrown in...
  10. Why not go out first and rent the X-T1 and just physically see if you need to wait for the X-T2 or not. Then you know for a fact that you can say either...wow I saved so much money instead of purchasing that Lambo. Or...wow the Lambo is going to suit my needs perfectly and I can afford it! I love how hardly anyone in any forums suggests this fact as it's the most inexpensive way to physically get your hands on what you are concerned about wanting to get before you "think" something that hasn't come out yet is so much better! Czech BTW...I did this when the X100t came out originally. I was making the move from the X100 to the next step up and I asked myself do I get the X100s or the X100t. Well I rented both of them and literally in the settings set them up the exact same way (as much as possible) and in the end I didn't feel that the features of the X100t was worth the extra $700-800 at the time. I sold my X100s later on for pretty much what I paid for it and then upgraded to the X100t when prices started to drop.
  11. Ever thought about picking up a used X30? While it's not at the level of the X-Pro1 or the X100T it's a wonderful camera along with the majority of the features of both of those cameras at a smaller size. Just my 2 cents worthless... Ross
  12. The great thing about all of this talk about a 200mm f/2 is the fact that Fuji wants to "play ball" with the two big boys. If they add this lens and they also introduce the 33mm f/1.0 then they are completely ready to do battle and I think a lot more people will follow and help them achieve this. I have shot pro Lacrosse and Hockey with both Canon and Nikon and when I first put the X-T1 in my hands about 3 or so years ago I hoped that some day soon we would be talking about exotic fast lenses and flagship cameras that could use those lenses perfectly. Well that day is getting closer. Fuji is doing what the other two big boys aren't doing...listening to it's customers and putting out products for the most part of what we want. We are asking, they are giving. It's not the other way around... Two very large groups thought were left out of the picture up to this point. The birding, and sports photographers. When the X-T1 was introduced and released it had pretty good focus but not to the levels of the Pro DSLR's by Canikon. When firmware update 4.0 came out it made the X-T1 an even better camera. With is 8fps speed it also gave us more value because it was a sub $2000 camera and not many other cameras we're out there that could do a lot of the same capabilities (definately not in Nikon's world). Heck Nikon just finally introduced the D750 to replace its ancient 8 year old model D700. Now with the release of the X-Pro2. One of it's many nice features, the small joystick on the back allows us to move the focus points around as quick as the high priced DSLR's which has improved the capabilities of a camera that not only did the two left out groups of photographers want, but everyone will benefit from. So now we are getting whiffs of rumors about the longer glass and I am glad that they are talking about it because it's a need that will really bring Fuji up to the table with the big boys. Canon and Nikon don't want Fuji at that table because they have always been the only ones sitting there. When they introduced and released the 50-140 Fuji fans were happy. When they introduced and released the 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 Fuji fans got even happier. "When" not if Fuji releases the 200mm f/2 lens I will be there waiting to swipe my CC with no hesitation. What that also means is they will release a 300mm f/2.8, and then the 400mm f/2.8 and again you will probably see me swiping my CC for the 400mm f/2.8 because it probably by that time will have the X-T3 or X-Pro3 camera body to be attached to the back end of it. At that point you will also see me at the X in Minneapolis shooting for the NHL so come tap me on the shoulder and ask me questions about if I like the setup! Ross
  13. I have shot an NHL game between the Colorado Avalanche and the St. Louis Blues back in 2014 when the 50-140 had just come out. While I don't remember if version 4.0 was out or not I do know that the results I was very happy with. Now I had a D4 and 200-400mm f/4 also to run along side this combo. But what I can say is that I was very, very hapily surprized with the results that I did get. IF you go to the galleries on the Rumors page and get to about December 14, 2014 you will see about a batch of 6-7 of what I did get. It took a little playing around and it was the first game that I did with it so mind you they are the "result" of trying it for the first time. I was very, very happy! Ross
  14. I know this is going to sound like a completely noob question but... With this being a mirrorless system in anyway could Fuji actually build a smaller 200mm f/2 lens in comparison to what the ones are from Nikon and Canon? Or is that physically impossible? Like I have spoken to my other Nikon and Canon sport shooter friends. If Fuji decides to make a jump into the sports world and introduce the most used lenses for sports (200mm f/2, 300mm f/2.8, 400mm f/2.8, 200-400mm f/4) then they are probably not far away from doing it. If that is the case then I think there will be a lot of shooters making a jump as long as not only is the glass good, but the camera bodies have to follow in ability and knock off the flagships from the big two. I'm waiting anxiously as I am totally wanting to dump my Nikon stuff and switch over to all Fuji gear...
