  1. The only option is http://www.fujirumors.com/roboshoot-ttl-remote-flash-timing-controller/ yet. Others are non-TTL, Also you can grab canon TTL cord if wired off-camera flash is OK
  2. If you want to travel with single lens and you're OK with using one fixed lens that's a great idea. Otherwise you can get 35/1.4 and travel with an addition of 18-55. Superlight kit, ready for everything.
  3. 35 is more versatile of course. For travel I usually take single X100s with fixed 23mm lens. This focal length is even more versatile to me. It allows me to shoot both portraits and landscapes.
  4. One more http://ivanjoshualoh.com/2015/10/21/xf-35mm-f2-wr/
  5. There were some people that were not so fortunate. Their X-T1 + 18-135 failed after two hours in the rain. That was the reason I asked Fuji rep about WR.
  6. 10-24 for any angle and 27 for compactness. It's great. Consider 23/1.4 or 16/1.4 only if you need really low light ability. Otherwise F/stops are not that important at wide angle. My personal choice for portraits is fantastic X100s for it's leaf shutter. I'd say this 35/2 gives little bit better bokeh than 35/1.4. Nevertheless there was no side-by-side comparison yet so my opinion may change. On the other hand 35/1.4 gives you more background blur. But you should be ready to work with quite limited DOF. Again if you need low light ability go for 35/1.4. For WR go for new 35/2. And again my personal choice for 35mm is gorgeous X100s + TCL.))) Depends totally on you. I usually use 56 for close-ups in studio. Outdoor use is medium height and full body portraits. For extreme closeups and outdoor reasonably close portraits 90/2 could be better choice. But you can use 50-230 for the last one.
  7. TC are usually used to save weight and/or price. Full systems always have dedicated high quality lens until you are using longest 800mm telephoto. But it's usually cheaper and lighter to take a lens and a TC for additional reach.
  8. What's the problem with going from warm to cold? The camera is warm, there will be no condensation on it. As I understand and always do, one can go out from room temperature with a camera in a hand to freezing cold and start shooting immediately. The problems appear when you are getting back to warm place with cold camera. In this situation one should keep the gear in a closed bag for 10-20 minutes before turning the camera on. I also don't understand how a zip bag will help. Condensation on turned off camera is not dangerous. Thus there is no real need to keep the gear away from humidity. You just have to wait until it will warm quite close to room temperature. But if you want to turn the camera on before that moment you'll have to take it out the bag anyway and all the condensation will appear immediately. It looks like too complicated and pointless. Ordinary Lowepro bags always work perfectly in these situations for me.
  9. Don't worry. WR is mostly a gimmick. X100S works great at least as low as -15C. BTW it's more likely that it will be little bit warmer in Dec like -2 - +2. Or not like -15 - -20))))
  10. xuser101Most likely the point was to make the special lens shape that won't interfere with X-Pro2 OVF.
  11. I was adapting Nikkors to Fuji white there were not enough lenses. These times have passed now. Fuji has released everything I need. I'm totally satisfied with IQ. And Fuji native lenses work much better than adapted ones. Thus no need to adapt any more.
  12. In addition to what's said above. Lenses and cameras of different systems work poorly with each other. Camera sensor has microlens array at the top. These microlenses are designed to work with lenses of specific flange distance. Using lenses with different flange distance decreases maximum possible sharpness. Thus Fuji lenses work better than Leica lenses on Fuji cameras. Leica lenses reach maximum sharpness on Leica cameras. Thus use Fuji lenses with Fuji cameras and Leica lenses with Leica M.
  13. Let's wait until X-Pro2 first. It's quite pointless to discuss X-T2 while X-Pro2 is not announced yet.
  14. Fuji manager told me that rain is outside WR. The lens or/and the camera can still be damaged if used in the rain. Water resistance stands for 100% humidity.
  15. Outdoors I always have a bag with a place for every lens i carry with me including the one on the camera. I don't use front caps. Only hoods and protectors. 1. Open the bag 2. Remove the lens and place into the bag 3. Switch rear cap from the lens you want to put on the camera to the lens you've just removed. 4. Put the new lens on the camera. 5. ??????? 6. PROFIT111!!!
  16. I deal with this problem using several bodies. Three cameras look quite seriously too. Also I never reveal what I am shooting until I show portfolio and get trust of the client in a personal meeting.
  17. It also depends on what you are shooting.
  18. Unfortunately there is the other side of the medal. People usually believe that professional lenses and cameras are huge. Thus one having small-sized gear is no a professional.
  19. If I'm not wrong i40 AF assist doesn't work with Fuji. Also I never had an option on Nikons to have flash AF assist with no flash. Nikon has special su-800 unit for that. Nevertheless it doesn't mean there is no way to force flash AF assist work. Why is on-body lamp not an option for you?
  20. Depends on what you are shooting. Both are great lenses.
  21. that's why there is HVF on x100t. It's highly possible x-pro2 will get it too.
  22. Unfortunately Fuji haven't done the feature. I was using this a lot with Nikons and will really appreciate if Fuji implement this feature in future. I deal with it with the help of Q menu and Fn buttons.
  23. As I understand they got only 10% of starting fund. They haven't made a single one because they didn't get enough money to start production. The domain is free thus It looks like you can't even fund any more. I also remember the post at FR that the thing haven't worked out.
  24. Not interested. Spare SDs for backup will be cheaper. And I do RAW conversion only on large calibrated display. This idea can work with really popular systems like Nikon or Canon but hardly vital with small community of Fuji users.
  25. KirillSokolovWhat's with her finger and the lip?
