to not use them as protection when you are NOT driving a bike?

If you hit the road at even just 25Km an hour with your unprotected head the weaker one is going to break and I predict it is your head .

Anyway put your camera under your jacket and nothing will happen to you.

Spend as little as $10 buy a raincoat for cameras like the one above and be happy singing in the rain, no need to spend over $1000 more

the search engine is at the top right

this is one of the threads dealing with this issue, somewhat, I’ve found it with the search engine.

    http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/348-x-t1x-t10-and-the-weather-sealing-just-a-gimmick-or-a-must-have-feature/

most of us have no real use for the weather sealing but, like so many things, many feel that once it is there , not having it is like missing out on something, even if they will most probably never use it.

Perhaps it perceived as a sort of emasculation to not have the best , the top, of anything. I’ve often been rebutted that “ i do it because I can afford it” .

I personally wouldn’t make it, unless you are sure to use it, the criterium to buy a camera. WR costs a lot of money as opposed to a camera without that.

for pennies one can buy a rain hood

I am pretty sure that you cannot “ select” all the focus points at the same time (what would you be selecting?) on your X-T20.

In any case not in my X-T1.

there are many manuals and video tutorials.

it is not so much in the circular image that you would find this useful but rather more in the angle of view.

But it takes all sorts. If that is your favorite then it is.

    good luck

“..If you want the ultimate performance or you do a lot of 4K video recording or continuous shooting, NP-W126S is clearly the winner. That said, some of the third party batteries are very close to the Fujifilm’s original in performance, while they cost only a fraction of the price..."

Looking at the scene I think that another reason why you may have had sensor problems is the climate that you are operating your camera in.

Tropical or subtropical climate is very bad for sensors when you go in an out of air conditioned areas.

It is impossible to avoid that a layer of condensation forms on all glass surfaces, which includes the sensor.

Of course, this is the moment in which you may be prone to cause particles to stick to the sensor if you don’t wait for the condensation to disappear.

I have had these conditions in Cuba and the Dominican Republic so I am assuming that you might have encountered similar situations.

This are probably so big particles to be visible with the naked eye . I have bought a magnifier lens with a ring of leds to inspect the sensor after having had several bad experiences.

Of course you can first start by blowing clean air (don’t use a spray canister by all means they often contain droplets which will soil the sensor) although most of the times this is useless.

After that you go to a wet clear or a gel clean.

When cleaning the sensor remember than NOT all products are equally recommended for Fuji sensors.

Rather than do it yourself, have the shop do this for you. The potential for causing havoc is very high if you don’t know what you are doing.

Fortunately my shop does this for free as a complimentary service

I like this lens a lot! It's a bit heavy, yes, but compact and who cares about that anyway with this type of photography? Manually focusing the lens can be a challenge, but less so if the subject cooperates... ;-) The lens is tack sharp wide open. No complaints. These were shot very close to the subject, by the way: 0.5 to 1 meter. Note that the DOF of this lens at maximum aperture is essentially comparable to that of a 50mm f/1.4 lens on FF.

Of course we will know the content of the update only when it will be released.

Since it hasn’t been introduced and anticipated with a great deal of leaks or rumors ( as we saw with the great AF revolution which didn’t really happen) about its content I am guessing that this is strictly a necessary technical update.

I am not holding my breath or stay up late to wait for it. I might even decide not to install it at all if it turns out that the mountain has given birth to a mouse.

it is called banding or flickering and its effects are very well know especially to those who shoot video.

Light sources which produce this effect are not necessarily limited only to fluorescent and the same can be observed with LED (most common also on stage) and many more light sources.
