  1. maybe you could mark the X with an X. Incidentally it is gaffer tape, not gaffers
  2. Nice. I like it. I am not sure how that would fare with those among us who prefer blocking the brand of their camera with gaffer tape.
  3. if you follow the link I gave Fuji tells you how but it will only show after the shot in playback mode ( which is not what OP wants), the wi-fi tethering should work as a monitor while shooting.
  4. I think that can be done with a HDMi cable http://digital-cameras.support.fujifilm.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/19530/~/how-to-connect-your-camera-to-the-tv-using-hdmi-cable.

  8. is this not what you want? https://www.danielzihlmann.com/blog/photography/wireless-tethering-with-the-fujifilm-x-t2-or-fujilm-x-pro2/2016/12/07/
  9. I too have glasses and have the long eyecup. The long eyecup is of course intended to be used without glasses and adhere to the eyeball as much as possible ( the camera has, after all a dioptric correction) but can be used very easily with spectacles too. The long eyecup of the X-T1 is only marginally longer than the one of the X-T2 though
  10. there are older threads on the matter http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/4676-has-anyone-used-leica-lenses-on-x-t1/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2432-xpro-2-and-leica-zeiss-zm-lenses/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/616-leica-50mm-f2-summitar-ltm/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2172-x-t1-with-leica-summaron/ http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/398-x-pro-1-with-m-mount-lenses/
  11. cheers, you must have the option for automatic subscription not enabled then
  12. this is the same problem that was reported before on other cameras http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/1927-tripod-screw-disappeared/page-2 http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/4497-xt1-bottom-screws-for-tripod-mount/
  13. I assume that you are talking of the viewfinder “ well” and rubber eyecup? Yes, a bit dusty, I blow it clean and use a brush every now and again when it bothers me. There is no way to prevent the dust to collect there. The problem is not, only, the fact that rubber might be statically charged. The rubber eyecup is naturally proclive to do this because of the fact that it is soft enough for the dust particles to adhere to it, and the viewfinder well, a receptacle for dust to fall in, where would it go on its own if you don’t remove it? It would naturally stay there.
  14. I’ve just asked my wife if she ever heard that a V neck T shirt wouldn’t be a “ manly” thing and she never heard of it too ( we both lived in many countries but I checked with her because I wanted to have someone else’s perspective) Incredibly, yes, there seems to be a North American issue with V neck T shirts. It reminded me the days of my youth when many of my friends were American sons and daughters of NATO military stationed in Italy. They never wore swimming trunks or speedos ( this is the ’70) they all wore cut jeans with their underwear , some thing that had us all puzzled. They told us that they thought very little of our speedos which, they were pretty definite, they thought that belonged to males with an alternative sexual orientation. That had us even more puzzled! No one in Italy would have though that! But yes, you seem to be right about the prejudicial views on V necks!
  15. and this is the result of the lens used with both a Waterhouse slide f4 and a two stop closing of the iris aperture in the adapter I was very pleased with this! ( there is some PP involved)

    well, stays a nice pic
  17. there is a new version of the app, download that too, make sure everything is updated and installing the latest software should take care of possible bugs. The camera connects way better with my new tablet and phone than it ever did before , of course if you are in a place full of interferences ( I live in a place where I can see over 100 networks) this can be working more or less.

nice picture, but seems to be a little motion blurred
  19. Very nice picture. I briefly owned this lens which was given to me and I traded that in for another lens because I didn’t want to buy yet another adapter. Very sharp for a lens as cheap as this.
  20. well, the sensitivity is of any long lens because of, as you also say, of the motion blur and air distortion due to air movement caused by the air mass moving due to thermic fluctuation in the air between where you are and where the subject far away is. Great picture! I’ve always like this lens which was always considered the poor relation of the 2.8 but which on a mirrorless with EVF ( which acts as an image luminnosity amplifier) has come into its own. The lack of autofocus though ( even with the focus limiter) makes this lens very difficult to be used on dynamic subjects.
  21. Absolutely! You can buy it for as little as €150 and you will have a great back up lens , version II should have a little closer minimum focus and had more upgrades so also probably faster in focus. Mine works fine although I’ve used it on moving subjects only for testing purposes, autofocus in continuous focus mode shoots sharp pictures of moving objects and nails it most of the times. The “ speed” is really more in the mind of the beholder than anything else. I agree, one will be shooting at 11 or so with most subjects and you can crank up comfortably your ISO at 1600 or more. Panning will reduce relative speed of the subject and OIS will take care of a little motion blur cased by the shaky hands (not too much).
  22. I understand that there are many ways to skin a cat but my point was it is not the looks as in the aesthetics of the image but the objective lack of saturation which on my monitor, and on prints, would make the original by OP look too desaturated. The amount of saturation is of course debatable and arbitrary. I merely suggested to him an alternative possible interpretation, never did it cross my mind that I was making a better picture from te aesthetic point of view. As for skills, thanks for your appreciation but I just pushed a button ( and you can see it from the creation of artifacts in the image). This was a quick and dirty suggestion, just to see how it goes. But of course , anything goes as one wishes.
  23. I could do the same HDR treatment an give them more depth too ( less “ normal) and more “ drawing"
  24. indeed, is the reason I too thought OP might have done this by mistake
