George_P reacted to Hermelin in Is it just me or the lowish light files are too noisy?
Here's ISO 10 000 in LOW lit situation. Ofcourse it's not as detailed as ISO 6400 @ a better lit situation but I still find it impressive and terrific for aps-c.

I'm not much of a landscape guy...
But here's one from a couple of weeks ago, before even Portugal got to cold and wet to leave the house!

George_P reacted to Ben Bishop in X-T2-X-PRO2 VS SONY ALPHA'S
I just went through the process of choosing between the two (goodbye Canon). The scale tipped on control issues - Sony menus versus Fuji knobs. I made this decision after months of frustration with, for example, my new car's information centre; navigation and operation decisions and entertainment in a single box that encourage me to take my eyes off the road. My old radio was much better. I resent the idea that I should be trained to use their computer; they are too stupid to design a flexible system that mimics what we had (hello Mazda - only once). If the interface is non-intuitive then it was designed by someone ignorant of history and with more arrogance than common sense. I'm not giving my money to anyone who doesn't respect where I come from. Take your tattoos and social media and ignore someone else. And take your menu trees with you.

ok, that's a bit embarrassing...
(in the computer I was then , the preview of the post was fine, but apparently linking from box.com doesn't work)
Trying again:
First the BW:
The color version
And finally the other color version. This was just my reference photo for assembling the panorama (so I can compare the panorama to it and limit distorsions)
of course I regret not being more in front of the tip of the island (like in HCB original photo, it is the ideal framing) but there were too many people at the "right" spot.
The inconvenient of stitching these images and then looking for errors, duplications, etc, is that one tend to look so closely at it, that one may lose some perspective on other things and become a bit colorblind to the shifts in color etc. So if you feel the stone areas are a bit too blue/cool (in that last one, and too bright in the others), let me know.
Thanks for looking
