Hi !
I recently migrated from a canon to a fuji x-t2 for my sport photography. I had to find out how to focus sometimes on the left of the frame, and then a split second later to focus on the right of the frame... And... it's easy !

Sunny skies for our hike, and once again shorts and tee shirt fit the weather. We went all the way round Trail 401 in the Nature Preserve, and even did a bit of off-trail scrambling. We had two weeks of great autumn weather recently but I spent them on the roof of my house sanding and varnishing the wooden beams, poor me. I have hardly any pictures this year.

Hello,
We continue with another shot taken with the x-pro2.
I spend the night under tent near the Alpe di Siusi and decided to do something different as all the other photographers are doing (classical view with the Sassolungo at the end of the alpe in background).
lucky as I was, the first snow over Dolomites was falling.
It was quiet a cold and windy night and didn't sleep well ... but was happy enough that my composition found in a Heavy fog the day before (without seeing the mountains at all) was worth and working.
4) Sassolungo morning, looks a bit like british columbia, X-Pro2 - 10-24 f4

Hello all.
Registered since a few months, I didn’t take opportunity to present myself.
At 61, I considered myself as a young senior. I stopped working in June of this year and made to myself a nice retirement present, a Fuji X-T20 with the 18-55 lens kit. As a young men, I was using a good old Praktica but sadly, did not persevere in this hobby. It’s all a new world for me to discover and I have no intention to renounce this time.
Last month I was in China for a couple of weeks and I discovered the pleasure of street photography.

I have been using ACDSee for DAM for ages because it is very fast. SP interface takes the same time to get used to as any other raw converter and the results are good. The film simulations are, as far as I can tell, equivalent to sooc. I have SP V8 Pro and it is fast on my machine (i5 7500, NVMe SSD), but so was the V6. I suppose the "bad rap" comes from the fact that most people have been using LR for a long time and most photographers are more artistic than technical kind of people and they find it difficult to try new things. Thanks to you sir, you share your images very generously and for a good cause, too. Makes me wonder if you are outdoors 24/7.
Do you just resize when you make the smaller version or do you use different sharpening or make other changes ?
My lichens are from the High Tatra mountains, this one is from 2634m altitude.

Thanks very much, George! I often find that images do not look as good on laptop screens as they do on desktop monitors. That is certainly the case with my desktop Eizo 22" ColorEdge compared with an Asus 22" monitor on another machine, let alone a laptop.
Here's another lichen photograph from the same hike as the other two.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures from places most of us will most likely never visit.
I once looked at them from close up:
I just found out I haven't got a clue what I am doing when preparing smaller versions of images for the forum: an image that looks nicely saturated and pleasantly crisp/sharp on my 4K monitor looks quite bleak and rather soft when I just checked it on my wife's laptop which has a 1920x1080 monitor.
