Adobe Raw Converter just put out a new version and if you run a conversion there the files will easily import into LR.

A piece of thread through the PD loop and back again thru the hole a few times using a sewing needle to make it easier. Pull it through. I have tried pushing it through with narrow metal objects but the outer core of the loop gets damaged.

Why not just use a traditional shutter release cable screwed into the shutter button?
