  1. I've been shooting the moon with both the 70-300 and a Tamron 500 mirror lens with 2x teleconverter and had no problems whatever. It's a compact zoom, not a long telephoto.

  2. It does not look like a standard tripod collar with quick release will fit this lens. You may be able to use something like this: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/554350-REG/Manfrotto_293_293_Telephoto_Lens_Support.html/?cnxclid=16173288597642086376410070301008005 But these are getting tricky to find. Once you know the size, you may be able to adapt what are called guide scope rings: https://www.highpointscientific.com/telescope-accessories/mounts/telescope-mount-accessories/mounting-plates-tube-rings-accessories/telescope-mounting-rings Once you get things worked out, show us some photos!

  3. Hi Hillsideshortleg, I recently switched from Nikon to Fuji x cameras and use a lot of flash for portrait work (nearly always as fill-in on location). Having researched it a bit, I ended up buying a Godox AD200 set up with an X1T-F transmitter. Using this set up also lets me integrate my old Nikon SB-600 flash into it should I need to (though I suspect using the latter could only ever be in manual mode as a bit of research seems to indicate that nobody has actually got Nikon TTL to talk to Fuji TTL!) That said, I have also started using large reflectors which are highly effective at bouncing back into selected areas! One of the other nice things about the Godox set up is that you can very easily integrate other Godox flashes into a set up and maintain TTL flash without necessarily needing extra receivers. (So I am thinking of getting a small TT350 flash just for general, occasional use too.) Coincidentally, a colleague who uses Canon has also switched to a Godox flash set up so we are also planning to pool our lighting set ups for occasional, even more complex set ups. Lighting spectaculars, here we come...!! Hope that helps! David

    50R vs X100V

I would add that if you only have one lens like the 50mm which I do have as well as some others - the 50R is great for some cropping of any image. Not as much naturally as the 100S, but that is expected. I will second what jlmphotos says about differences between FF and MF.
