  1. I have a X-PRO3 and would not part with it and the advantage of being able to use other lenses than the 23mm which is my most used field of view as it was on my Leica M9. I would most certainly never replace it with with the X100V for the only advantage of thr smaller size (the X- PRO3 osn't all that big) I just might submit to the temptation of getting a X100V nest to the X-PRO3, but fear it will all too often be left behind and taking 2 bodies on a trip is for me a no go

  2. My mistake. The AF range limiter was on!

    X-Pro 3 Shutter dial lock

This is the same locking mechanism carried over from the X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 so existing X-Pro owners won’t be so confused by it (in fact the XT1 worked this way too). The lock is *only* used to lock the dial in A position, engages automatically when the dial is set to A, and must then be pressed to release before setting any other speed. I agree the later XT style lock is probably more useful, but I wonder whether it was just too complicated to try and implement that as well as the combined ISO dial the X-Pro uses.

  4. Hi oldfashioned1536, I agree with aceflibble there is no best, you just have to get what you need. And this might need some trial and error (best before breaking the piggy bank) Coming from Aperture because S. Jobs inheritors killed it, I downloaded Lightroom, Aftershot, DxO and Capture 1 on thirty day trials and 'played' with them to see what suited me best. So I would suggest you do the same, however I do not know if Iridient is available on a trial basis. Hope this is useful. Best regards Jeremy FWIW : I opted for Capture One, which I now use exclusively, and to date have no complaints but this is me. But others may have different experiences.
