    Fuji XT3 vs X100F vs XE3

If you " want to have the camera everywhere I go " and different focal lengths , you are looking for a very small foot-print with a zoom lens. I would say it has to get into a coat pocket and no extra accessory. None of the actual Fuji cameras fit the bill.......and like you, I am waiting for Fuji to produce that camera. So for the time being I am with another brand and keep waiting.

    Fuji XT3 vs X100F vs XE3

If you said you could afford two Fuji models, I would go with the X100F and the XT20 (don't overlook this option) or XT3. If you can only have one, and you wants as small a footprint as you can get while still having some lens options, I would go with the X-E3. If you are are certain that a 23mm (35mm fov on full frame) will suit the vast majority of your needs and you can only have one Fuji, I would go with the X100F. The XT3 is the largest and certainly gets you away from the concept that the X100F and the XE3 provides. However, having owned all the models listed above, I don't find the XT3 to be as large as some articles and reviews suggest. I guess it is all in the feel of the beholder, but I was expecting a feel or experience that was significantly different than the XT20 and, while larger, I don't find it any more challenging or difficult or cumbersome to take the XT3 anywhere I took the XT20. But, as with all things, others may have a different impression. X100F if you are absolutely certain 23mm is all you need and you like the retro rangefinder look XE3 if you want the smallest footprint that lets you change lenses. (XE3 is a sweet camera) XT3 (or XT20) if you want traditional SLR look and additional features at a cost

  5. Any reason why you aren’t considering the XT20? Seems it would tick all the boxes for you.

    Fuji XT3 vs X100F vs XE3

I think it's impossible compare the XT3 whit the others two cameras, simply because the size, so different. Sorry Steve, I don't think that "XT3 would provide you with everything". AndrewB if you "want to have the camera everywhere I go and you do a lot of street photography" with the XT3 you're going to have quite problems. Cheers

    Fall Harvest

Ok, I'm new at parts of this, so please, cut me a little slack.... Gear info: Fujifilm X-Pro1, 50mm f/2 Leitz Summitar, shortest (10mm? Not sure, I can't read Russian) LTM extension tube. ISO 200, f/11, 1/40th, -1 stop EV. Image info: I'd shot pretty much this same (series of) image(s) half an hour or so before, then imported the set into LR. The plan was to shoot 5 images then stack, align and blend the bunch in PS, so I did. Made for a pretty decent image overall, but I noticed two serious problems: first, the closer-most elements (the moonflower seeds) were not in focus, and second, I finally saw the 'worms' others have described as being a problem with X-Trans images, and knew this would not stand. So, I took the tray of 'Fall Harvest' moonflower pods back outside and re-shot them, but this time increasing the subject-to-camera ratio very slightly, decreased exposure by a stop, and re-shot two sets of seven images to stack. Upon completion of that, I returned to my computer and imported the shots with the new Fuji-dedicated (Lite) version of Capture One. Voila! No worms! And what I wanted in focus was indeed in focus. I then proceeded to stack and process (tweaks in LR and Topaz Studio) the image to the result you see here. A question, however: As mentioned, I'm new to Fuji. As such, Focus Peaking is new to me, and I'm finding I sometimes undershoot an area of (what I want to be) critical focus. Does anyone have any manual, non-Fuji glass focusing tips they'd be so kind as to pass along to me? I'm all for learning by trial and error, but jeez.....

Bridalveil Fall in August Fujifilm X-T2 XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS Another smoky-bright day in Yosemite National Park. Most of the falls are bone-dry by late summer, but there is still a small stream, with little mist on the trails below.

  10. Do you mean the 23mm/f1.4? Have you moved the focus ring on the lens forwards for autofocus mode?

  11. You are in "C" mode. In "C" continuous AF mode Eye AF does not work. Face detection works, but not "eye" Eye detection works only in "S" single.

  12. what’s TPA? I looked it up an nothing pertaining lenses came up. If you mean third party adapter ( I really think that the use of acronyms should be as sparing as possible ) there are lots ( cheap or expensive and there are many threads on those already so use the search ) but of course the great majority don’t allow for autofocus or transferring any electrics or electronics from lens to camera. There are only a few and incredibly expensive ones which can do that.

  15. Hi, I'm relatively new to the Fuji X System having shot with a Nikon D200 and then more recently a Nikon D610. However, I recently bought an XE2 with the 18-55mm and 10-24mm lenses for travelling and have been trying the Fuji out for some landscape work. 16. The XT3 would provide you with everything. You could use face detect for the street, have a ultra fast camera with the 35/2, 50/2 or 23/2 lenses and finally, this camera without lenses cost a few hundred dollars more than the X100F.
