Auto-focus ? Nope. Clicked Aperture ? Nope. Heavy ? Nope. Expensive ? Nope. Affordable, light-weight, produces great images ?! YUP !!! Forgot why and when and where I bought this lens, but I was always looking for a lens that could give the Fuji...any Fuji really, something different...something special. Filmic almost.. And somehow I settled on the Meike 25mm 1.8 ! Yup, random I know...but this thing is special. I think in 35mm FOV it creates about a 37mm, (not sure...I gotta do the sensor math) but that's exactly why I like it. It's not 40mm it's not 35mm, it's 37mm lol. Anyway, this thing is sharp, and in the very tip of the corners...I feel like it gets a tiny bit soft, but not in a bad way ! It creates this look that leans towards film for sure, and when you pair it with the X-Pro 1...the combo just truly creates something special. I swear by the X-Pro 1 in color and black and white but, the Meike + XPRO1 in B&W is special. Anyway, just wanted to share a lens that I don't really see or hear people discuss too much, and share some images w/ it. No pressure on clicking the link, but I promise you the proof is in the pudding !
