WOW, Yes, you are of course correct. I've turned them on now for both s and m and cont, and now it works exactly as it should. Like most things, simple when you know how. I didn't know that setting existed, and can't think why anyone would want it turned off, nor remember ever doing so. Anyway, thank you so much abmet for helping.1 point

Both my X-T5 and X100V display the calculated iso when half press the shutter. Did you happen to change the shutter AE to off in the button/dial settings? I think if that is off the iso continues to show max iso when shutter half pressed.1 point
