Loose lens element in the 80 mm f/2.8 macro?
Olaf W. replied to BokehBurger's topic in Fuji X Lenses
Some elements in (autofocus) lenses are „floating“, so I guess what you are experiencing is normal. -

I'm having trouble finding a way to attach a right-angle viewfinder to the Fuji X-H1 camera. Does anyone have experience with how the angle viewfinder behaves in combination with the EVF? Is the Minolta frame diameter of the right angle viewfinder suitable for attaching to the Fuji XH1 (or XT1, 2, 3, 5)? Does anyone have knowledge about which eyepiece is compatible with the Fuji X system? Thank you in advance for any assistance and information you can provide.

I purchased a gently used XF 80mm f/2.8 aspherical macro for my X-T5. Not being familiar with this lens but having had experience with the Leica T mount 60mm macro and Canon and Zeiss macros, I was surprised that I felt what might be best described as a loose lens element that shifted when I tilted the lens, even before being mounted to the camera. In manual focus mode, the lens is fine, but there is a distinct “wobble” when the lens is in autofocus mode. I reported this to the company (I bought it from KEH), and they agreed this was odd and accepted it back for a full refund. I just got a replacement lens and the same thing is happening. I’ve never had an experience in which I feel a lens element loose inside the housing. Is this normal? Should I return it (again)?

Missing exposure compensation în manual mode.
Ralph64 replied to Gion's topic in Fuji X-S10 / Fuji X-S20
Old post but hope this can help. You have to make sure that exp. comp. is set to zero in P, S or A mode before you go in to manual mode. If the comp is set to, let say +5, and this is of the range for the settings in manual mode, twisting the comp dial (left dial) want do any changes. -

Final exposure does not match electronic viewfinder
BokehBurger replied to McBret's topic in Fuji X-T5
I use my XT5 in full manual and the actual exposure does not match my viewfinder image. This just started to take place after owning the camera for over a year. I did a reset to factory settings, but to no avail. This is extremely frustrating, and I’m wondering if the metering system is faulty. Thoughts? - Yesterday

Looking more like the next Fuji camera we see will be an X-T50 but it is still a rumor and no specs have been published.

X-T30 On/Off Switch Loose and Is there an Easy Fix?
Ace Cas posted a topic in Fuji X-T3 / Fuji X-T30
Hey guys, The shutter on/off button switch may be loose on mine. After turning camera on and pressing the shutter/holding close to the area, the camera will turn off and say 'sensor cleaning'. This doesn't happen if I'm shooting via touch screen at all. Everything else is functional. Anyone else experience this before? Would love a much cheaper fix since Fuji Canada just quoted me $700 CAD to fix it, and considering everything else is functional except that part I'm not even sure why MPMB Main Board parts is being replaced😕 I got no explanation from them either. -

As far as I know the firmware is not country specific. Are you sure that the filename has not been changed ( I am told this can happen with mac os). That's the only thing I can think of.

My x-t5 does not exhibit the focusing switch behaviour as you report it, so that is very strange and indicative of a fault. It does not matter whether the flash is attached or not. Once you set the camera for your studio flash, say 1/250th at f5.6, the camera, which is showing you what you will get at that exposure without the flash, will show a black screen unless the ambient light is brighter than what you would typically get indoors. That is why, as Jerry says, you have to set preview exp/wb to off. I have set a button for this.

@jerryy, does this mean you want some more or you've had enough of these ? 😀

I 've encountered this when I was asking the impossible of the camera. It doesn't have to be dark. Just close the aperture to f16 and select 1/8000 exposure, and the viewfinder goes black - pretty good approximation of what you would expect from any camera. Believe it or not, I found this to be useful in some night photography a couple of nights ago. I wanted to push the camera hard because I had a very intrusive moon ruining the sight of some beautiful backlit rolling clouds. At night I'm accustomed to the fuzzy noisy grains jumping about, but, as you say, this is black lens-cap-on on stuff. It suited me to find the point where it went from one to the other. But the definite feeling I'm getting as a complete digital noobie (40+ years of analogue) is that the beast is saying to me "Sorry, mate. No can do." I know of, and have seen, the red indicators as well, warning me that one or more settings was beyond its capabilities in the light available, so I don't know where the black screen comes in that hierarchy.
