  1. if you are picky about image quality definitely skip the 18-135. It's decent but not razor sharp - I took it to NY on a trip and was unhappy with a lot of photos. It's much lighter and versatile than the 16-55 though. You could always use the lighter but optically excellent 18-55 during the day and switch to a small prime at night time
  2. as a noob who understands nothing from flashes, how does this compare to the newly announced Fuji flash?
  3. It looks like X-T2 has more PDAF pixels than the X-PRO2? Form factor aside that would be the biggest technical difference to me
  4. Two questions about the bags mentioned here: 1) Does the Retrospective 7 or the Urban Disguise 35 hold XT1+ 50-140 attached? I rather not have to take the lens off each time to fit it in the bag. 2) Do these bags come with separator inserts so that you could stack two smaller lenses in one compartment?
  5. I would say test the lens for front/back focusing issues and return to vendor for a replacement if in doubt. My 56mm is extremely sharp, eye lashes appear super clear and sharp
  6. Again a noob question since I have yet to own a flash system I like to go all-in and get a good flash unit to start with. Would the newly announce flash system from Fuji be better than the Metz and Nissin i40 for those who understand flash specs?
  7. I don't have a flash unit and don't know much about flashes yet... but has anyone compared this to the Nissin i40 - would love to understand what the differences are
  8. Thanks for the responses! About the gray market stuff, is the only concern warranty, and if it's indeed gray market would you still recommend it (assuming I'm willing to take the chance that there won't be warranty issues with the lens). I've always bought directly from authorized sellers so I've never had to deal with gray market
  9. ah the XC lens is an amazing price! This is the listing I'm considering - no taxes or other fees to ship to me: http://www.ebay.com/itm/321654908410
  10. I'm interested in the 18-135mm lens, and willing to buy a used one. It's currently on sale, but the ebay prices are considerably lower. I see sellers selling a "new" one as low as $550 with a white box (I'm assuming it was a part of a kit and they put it in another box) Question is, do you recommend ebay or is it sketchy gray market mostly? I'm looking at US listings ONLY
  11. Another vote for the 16mm.. lots of detail posted already. If you are into astro photography this lens has coma. There is something about it that renders different as others have pointed, maybe it has something to do with the lens coating? I have the 10-24mm and favor the 16mm over it nowadays, the images seem slightly more contrasty to me. Weather resistance is a big plus. It's a heavier/larger but the short focusing capability definitely makes this a more versatile lens as well

  13. Ah no in US! sorry thought you are here as well
  14. Ah yea they treat the pro line differently. I need to contact them again for sensor issues and they're not responding via email! Could you direct message me the contact info you found for the pro center?
