XT1 firmware on new camera?

Greetings everyone! I am new here to the Fuji X Forum so a warm hello to all! My first post/question if I may... I just upgraded from XE-2 to the XT1. I purchased from our local camera store to try and support our local business. I mention this as I feel that "big box" mail order might have a "fresher" supply. When I fired up for the first time and checked firmware status the body was at firmware 1.00 and the 18-55 was at an outdated firmware as well. My concern is that this was a "leftover" old stock from the first introduction run of this model. I have read that there were some issues with the initial release of XT1 mostly fit/finish,etc. and that more current models have been upgraded. Can anyone tell me if they have recently purchased an XT1 and what firmware it came with. BTW I spoke with my local store and they say that camera was not in they're stock for more than a month or so (I have no reason to doubt them- they are a reputable store). Thanks for any thought! Regards, Jim

Update- It appears that the first 2 numbers of the serial number show manufacture date. First number is year and second number is quarter. My first 2 digits are 43 so- 2014 and 3rd quarter. Still seems pretty old for purchasing in 8/15! If not too much trouble can I ask anyone who purchased an XT1 in the last couple of months post the first two digits and what version the software it came with? Greatly appreciated! Jim

It is very unlikely that any manufacturer would do the FW upgrade to shipped goods. Mostly because of processing time needed for the extra changes.

So it is not weird to have a brand new system and still have them on the old FW.

The X-T1 I got some months ago, was still on 1.0 version. Which allowed me to even more appreciate the FW 3.0 and even more the 4.0 recently.
