Good evening Fujifans.

My name is Marc and I have been photographing since the early 1970s starting with a Zenit B! My first digital camera was a Nikon D100 and I stuck with Nikon for many years ending with a D2x and D3 and too many lenses. I had a brief sojourn with a Leica M6 but when Fuji introduced the X100 I had to buy one and the Nikon kit was stored away in the study, the Leica was sold. Then came an X-Pro1. In October 17 I part exchanged all my old Nikon and Fuji kit for the stuff in my signature. It has reignited my interest and passion in photography but I am still to put the kit truly to the test.

Anyhow, this looks like a great site and I look forward to learning and contributing where I can.

Welcome, I share your life long photography hobby, with a few small sales under my belt. I started with a box Brownie, until the bottom fell out as we went under London Bridge! I cannot remember what came next. I did have a flirt with Pentax for awhile, Fujifilm 35mm camera, then Canon AE-1, then Leica - but now I am a Fuji guy. 100F/XE-2/GFX. They all have their uses and I am enjoying them and a renewed interest in photography.

Good morning Bob, from over the border in Middlesex, near to Heathrow. I have had an almost identical journey from Nikon to Fuji. Spent way too much money of course over the last two years!

Thank you. I was quite surprised what return I got on the Nikon kit to be honest. I am sill in credit with the camera shop where I did the PX, and that excludes my Nikon 300mm f2.8 which was sold privately. Fuji kit is not only great (as we all know) but to me also very reasonable!

This is the equivalent of 43 minutes, 40 seconds of exposure. NGC 1502 is a neat little cluster located in the Camelopardalis Constellation. This region of space was thought to be fairly empty by early astronomers, but as you can see, there is a lot there. Kemble's Cascade (a.k.a. Kemble 1) is named for Father Lucian Kemble, a Canadian Franciscan friar who wrote about it to Walter Scott Houston, an author for the Sky And Telescope magazine. Houston named the asterism for Fr. Kemble and the name "stuck". NGC 1501 is the Oyster Nebula. A longer focal length telescope is needed to bring this one into good viewing range, but it is well worth the effort. • Looking for input; there are some decent deals and might want to take advantage to expand my lenses for my 100s already own: 110/2 32-64 35-70 100-200 + TC   Shooting mostly family shots, bringing my kit to capture family outings indoors and out. Tracking the 63/43 effective FLs on the two, but has anybody used both? Would the 55 (covered by two zooms right now) be redundant? Would the 80 be too similar in character to my 110 for portraiture?
    • See what I mean? Two instantaneous ads. Worthless.
