X-T20 Firmware upgrade and flash recommendation

I just purchased the X-T20 and I already love this camera. It's a significant upgrade from the X-E1. Mind you, I only had the X-E1 for a couple of months, so I am still learning about the Fuji X system.

 

Will the X-T20 get the new faster focusing algorithm in a firmware upgrade like the X-T2 or does the X-T20 already have it since it is a newer camera?

 

What other firmware updates can we expect from Fuji ?

 

Also, could you recommend an affordable flash system that is capable of HSS?

Take a look at Godox, they have an affordable wireless flash system with TTL and HSS.

The new firmware offers focus point choice over touch screen, that's the big one in this update. I'm not sure if there are improvements in the focusing system themselve.

I looked into the Nissin and Godox flash systems....I decided to go with Godox.

 

Godox price is very reasonable but the deciding factor was that I did not want a giant flash, so I opted for the TT350-F.

In addition, I purchased the X1T-F transmitter and a couple of the Godox X1R-N receivers so I could integrate my Nikon speedlights.

 

So far, I have only had my X-T20 for a week, but the camera ROCKS.  The detail and colors are spectacular.
