Xt-1Manual focus problem

I have the front dial set to "M" for manual focus. When I try to manually focus it should zoom into the part of the frame that I am focusing on. Why would it not be doing it? Also with manual focus enabled when I use the back button "AF-L" it locks the focus but in the menu I have switch enabled. So should it not stay focused on that distance till i release it by pushing the button again?

Hi Tazdog,

Your finger must not be on the shutter button when focussing as this seems to disable the zoom feature. Regret cannot help on the "AF-L" button as I rarely use it.
