X-T2 EVF lag/freeze when in high speed continuous

Hi,

I am new to Fuji and recently purchased an X-T2, which I am beginning to love more and more. I have come across one thing which hinders a lot of my work, shooting moving objects. When in high speed continuous mode the picture in the EVF freezes after each "shutter" action, when trying to follow birds in flight this freezing makes it almost impossible to take more than one or two shots before losing the target. Is there anything that can be done to overcome this please. Otherwise this great little camera will be consigned to just landscapes and portraits.

Many thanks in advance

Andy

What's your SD card? Card handling in X-T2 firmware seems to be quite buggy, which makes the camera quite picky about the cards you use, which manifests in various strange bugs, including what you described, if you don't use one of the certified cards from the compatibility list. Hopefully they improve this in a firmware update.

I have the booster grip, left it on 8FPS, and turned on boost mode. The blackout freeze time is no different than the mirror movement on a DSLR that I am noticing. I may be more used to it now, but I'm guessing you may be trying to shoot faster than the 8FPS which is probably the cause.
