X-T2 'Turn off and on again' Issues

Hi folks. 

 

Took the X-T2 out today and received this error when using the mechanical shutter which progressively got worse until it was pretty much unusable. The shutter seemed to stay semi/fully closed after each shot, then proceeded to display the 'turn off and on again' message. Managed to switch to the electronic shutter so the day wasn't a total waste. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue with the X-T2? I've seen that there have been a few X-Pro2 issues along the same lines but can't seem to find anything with the X-T2. All the firmware is up to date and I was only using single shot, spot metering and AF so nothing out of the ordinary. 

 

Its now being sent back to the retailer who have agreed to replace it for me as its only been used for a week. Hopefully its not me just being stupid.
