Hi everyone,

So I bought a genuine battery grip for my X-T1 a few weeks ago, and when using the shutter button on the grip it would fire up the the AF but a full press would never take the shot. Everything else on the grip worked fine so I combed the menus for a line item that maybe needed enabling. I eventually came to the conclusion it was a defective grip and returned it.

Fast forward to today and my new grip has shown up and it's doing the exact same thing.

Am I just not seeing something in the menu that needs activating or is it simply an issue with my camera. Camera has firmware 4.31 instated.

Thanks

Weird. Mine worked fine from the day one. Have you tried to clean the contacts on the camera?

Make sure the little lever that is next to the shutter button on the grip isn't in the LOCK position.  You can't take a pic with the shutter button on the vertical grip (I believe) if it is in the LOCK position.
