Portable Storage to offload SD cards during travel

Hi.  I have an upcoming trip to the San Francisco area. We have our iPad Air version 1, but no laptop.  While it's easy to offload to the iPad using the SD card to lighting adapter, I'm hoping to find a solution to offload directly to a portable storage device without being connected to a laptop or PC.  I'll be setting up my X-T2 to record RAW to card slot 1 and jpeg to card slot 2, thinking offload RAW to the portable storage device and jpeg to the iPad.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Currently using the WD Passport Wireless 500gb, which sells for like 160 euro here in the Netherlands. It's not a quick back-up, but with some patience it is near perfect. You can connect wirelessly from your ipad and view the imported photos. Downside in my opinion is the fact that a mechanical harddrive is used, so carrrying around is recommended with some sort of protection. If you want more speed and options, the WD Passport Wireless Pro is a good choice. Battery can be used to charge your phone/ipad, can stream videos wirelessly, if im not mistaken reading SD cards is faster, but it is more expensive.

I have used a Hyperdrive Colorspace device for a few years and it does an excellent job of backing up and viewing digital camera files and videos. I have the UDMA2 version with 1TB drive but that's been replaced by the UDMA3. I bought mine from Amazon UK.

I have one of these and I find the SD card backup quite fast.

Thanks everyone.  None of our stores in Hawaii have either one, which is not surprising.  A few stores have the WD in stock in the SF area, so I'll be sure to check it out in person during our trip.  Thanks again.  If I get any shots worth posting, I'll be sure to upload.
