Here's some motorcycle road racing images from yesterday. X-T1 with 50-140/2.8 and 1.4X teleconverter. American Federation of Motorcyclists (aka AFM) club race at Sonoma Raceway, September 4, 2016, Sonoma, CA, USA. The "ole warhorse" X-T1 can still deliver the goods...

wow - very nice !! Love the panning shots.  what type of shutter speed do you use for those if I may ask?  I'm guessing around 1/150 or slower?

Very nice, indeed. Did you use autofocus or manual zone focussing?

My panning shots are generally at 1/250th of a second.

Thank you. I've had 20+ years of experience doing racing panning shots...I've been an accredited motorsports photographer since 2003.

Hi great shots. I've just bought this lens and not had much chance to try capturing fast moving subjects yet. Do you use AF-C and Zone Focusing? Do you have OIS on or off?
Regards Paul
