X-Trans is still there so whatever Adobe is doing wrong with the demosaic / NR / sharpening is probably still an issue. But it looks like for the camera's internal JPG processor, Fuji has been working on noise handling quite a bit, which would explain why these high ISO textures are so improved.

did you still have to lower noise reduction to -4 or -2? Or is it set to zero?

 

 

I would be interested in this. As soon as I got my X-Pro2 I set the NR to -4. I have my X100T set to -2 (as far as it goes). But perhaps -4 isn't necessary...
